March 6th, 7th, 8th
Chelsea Area Players Dinner Theater present "Squabbles"
A hilarious play that pits a father in law against a mother in a comedic succession of 'squabbles.' Jerry Sloan is a successful writer of advertising jingles married to an equally successful lawyer. Living with the happy couple, though, is the not so happy Abe Dryfus, Jerry's crusty, ill-tempered father in law. The situation is made more serious when Jerry's mother, Mildred, looses her house in a fire and needs a place to stay. Abe and Mildred can't stand each other! One hilarious confrontation after another occurs until the heart warming finale in which the oldsters discover that, really, each is not so bad. Produced by Clara Smith with Artistic Direction by Vicky Wurster.
Dinner begins at 6:30 wish show following at 7:30.
Tickets are $30 and available at Chelsea Pharmacy or by calling 734-475-8713 and leaving your information. The dinner will be a delicious Chicken Cordon Bleu unless you contact the number above and wish to substitute for a pasta alfredo.

Memorable Gershwin tunes include I Can't Be Bothered Now, Shall We Dance, Bidin' My Time, I Got Rhythm, Naughty Baby, They Can't Take That Away from Me, But Not for Me, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Embraceable You and Someone to Watch Over Me. The other half of the day will be spent working on the 'technical' aspects of the play like costuming and set-construction. All of this will be in preparation for the final Workshop Showcase, a grand performance for the public to show off the students' amazing work! Directed by Bill Hohnke and a skilled team of educators, this summer will stretch the imagination and push performance skills to new heights! Camp is M-F June 16th through the 27th with the special showcase performance on the evening of the 27th. The Workshop is also specially geared towards FRIENDS, so campers are encouraged to 'bring a friend!' Full details on the CAP website. Cost is only $250.
